About us

Specialising in Residential Sales and Lettings, we take great pride in offering an efficient and friendly service at all times. Our aim is to ensure that each and every one of our clients receive the highest level of service and to this end, we adopt an energetic and pro-active approach to both Sales and Lettings.

We endeavour to combine professionalism with integrity and a friendly manner in order to provide a quality service to our clients that they cannot find in other Agents.

Michael Irving is an Associate Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and we have also invested in membership of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA). That demonstrates to our clients, that we practice to the highest standards, as regulated by these professional bodies. In addition we are Registered Agents with the Property Ombudsman for both Sales and Lettings.

Michael Irving

DIRECTOR

Michael was brought up in Richmond and has an in depth knowledge of the area. In his formative years Michael was a keen sportsman playing cricket for Richmond and also played football and golf on a regular basis. With Michael having a keen interest in cricket, Irvings are proud to be Main Club Sponsors of Richmonshire Cricket Club. With a Degree in Building Surveying and being a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and The Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA). Michael brings a great deal of experience and professionalism to the company.

Margi Irving

DIRECTOR

Margi Irving moved to the Richmondshire area almost 30 years ago. With a wealth of customer facing direct sales, customer service and marketing experience in blue chip companies such as Yell, TNT, DHL and H J Heinz, Margi brings a high level of customer service and negotiation skills to the company. Margi is a Member of The Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA).

Karen Tunstall

OFFICE MANAGER

Karen joined the team in early 2011 and has proved to be a great addition to the company. Coming from a legal background Karen continues the ethos of professionalism that runs throughout the company. Having worked in a solicitors office for 10 years, she has an appreciation for the sales process to help guide both vendors and purchasers along the conveyancing process.

Karen is a Member of The Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA).

Amy Irving

VALUER

Amy joined the family business in September 2017, after completing a degree in Geography at Northumbria University and having also completed a Masters Degree in Real Estate again at Northumbria University in 2018. Amy has been around the property industry for a number of years and brings with her a down to earth, customer focused and friendly approach. She also ensures our social media content is engaging and current.

Holly Smith

Property Agent – Sales and Lettings

Having just finished her degree at Teesside University, Holly is a great addition to the team. Having worked within the Airline Industry since graduating, and with a real interest in property, Holly has a genuine approach to helping people ,with a warm and empathetic manner and is looking forward to developing her career as a Property Agent, within our Sales and Lettings Department.

Debbie Kilburn

Property Maintenance Administrator

After a long career in the Child Care Industry, as a Nursery Manager locally, Debbie has been used to working in an environment where standards, policies and legislation are of the highest importance, all of these skills and experiences are utilised with all of the properties we manage for our Landlords and Landladies. Debbie is such a bubbly, helpful, conscientious and friendly .A true Local with a great knowledge of both Richmond and The Dales.

Christine Hornsby

After working in the financial sector for many years, Christine has a background where attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality are second nature. With a genuine interest in properties and an understanding of what potential sellers, buyers and tenants are looking for and going through, Christine’s kind, friendly and helpful personality really do make a difference to the whole process.

Claire Ryder

FREELANCE ASSOCIATE

Claire has recently joined the team at Irvings, supporting the company with their inventories and periodic property inspections. Claire has worked within the lettings industry for over 20 years. She has trained to the recognised industry qualifications propertymark ARLA (Association of Residential Lettings Agents), ARLA Inventories (MARLA Inv) and also qualified as a City & Guilds, Legionella Risk Assessor.
